Feynman diagrams are in common use in particle physics. The value of these diagrams is to facilitate the calculation of interactions between particles. The introduction of these diagrams contributed to the theory of QED, first introduced by Dirac.

To be redundant it's a diagrammatic representation,  Feynman diagrams are most definitely not a representation of what's going on between the particles.

A pictorial representation of elementary particles and their interactions. Feynman diagrams show paths of particles in space and time as lines, and interactions between particles as points where the lines meet. The illustration shows Feynman diagrams for electron-electron scattering.

Feynman diagrams can also be used to describe the weak interactions, which are mediated by the W +, W − and Z 0 bosons, rather than the photon. This is illustrated by Fig. 5, which shows the dominant contributions to the elastic scattering reaction

One of the most commonly discussed and referenced diagrams is the Feynman diagram, found mostly in quantum particle physics. Feynman diagrams were invented in 1948 to help physicists find their way out of a morass of calculations troubling a field of theory called QED, or quantum electrodynamics.

Definição de Feynman diagram: a graphical representation of the interactions between elementary particles | Significado, pronúncia, traduções e exemplos.

A Feynman diagram has lines in different shapes—straight, dotted, and squiggly—which meet up at points called vertices. … And, Feynman diagrams are a living example of this. Named after the American physicist Richard Feynman, who introduced these diagrams in 1948, the Feynman diagrams are a simple yet elegant visualization of the interaction of subatomic particles that can … 2010-02-14 1 Answer1.
